What it is

Silicone PET release film is a polyester (PET) film carrier with a cured silicone release coating on one or both faces. The film gives a very flat, smooth and dimensionally stable surface with negligible moisture pick-up, so the liner stays flat in humid conditions and holds its shape through converting.

It is the go-to liner wherever accuracy matters — kiss-cut and through-cut parts, display and optically clear tapes, and thin adhesive constructions where the texture or fibres of a paper liner would show. The film is clean, strong and holds tight tolerances through high-speed converting.

Construction

  1. Silicone release coating
  2. PET film carrier
  3. Optional back coat: silicone or antistatic

When to choose it

  • You need tight tolerances and clean edges on kiss-cut or through-cut parts
  • The liner must stay flat and dimensionally stable in humid conditions
  • Your adhesive is thin or optically clear, so any liner texture would transfer
  • Fibres and paper dust are not acceptable — electronics, displays and optics
  • You want a clear or coloured liner for visual inspection or sensor detection

Key properties

  • Very smooth, flat surface with very uniform caliper
  • Dimensionally stable — negligible moisture pick-up, no humidity curl
  • Easy to tight release, single- or double-side
  • High tensile strength for fast converting and rewinding
  • Clean, fibre-free carrier
  • Antistatic versions to control static on peel

Typical applications

  • Die-cut parts for electronics and displays
  • Double-sided and transfer tapes
  • Optically clear adhesives and protective film laminates
  • Foam, gasket and pad laminates
  • Automotive interior and trim parts
  • Labels and graphics that need a stable carrier

Configured to your needs

  • Thickness — thin to heavy gauge
  • Clear or coloured film
  • Single- or double-side silicone, including differential release
  • Release level — easy, medium or tight, matched to your adhesive
  • Antistatic on one or both faces
  • Slit to width or die-cut to shape

  • Greenevo codes do not encode width — clear is 1090 mm, coloured is 1000 mm (kept as an info column).
  • Thickness always uses the full 3-digit µm value (100 µm = “100”).
  • The release-force suffix is the nominal = maximum of the FWD range (e.g. 10–20 g → 20).
