Release Liner
Kraft Release Paper
Silicone-coated kraft paper — a cost-effective, easy-handling liner for labels, general-purpose tapes and interleaving, in white, yellow and other colours.
What it is
Kraft release paper is a strong kraft paper base — clay-coated or calendered for a smooth, closed surface — finished with a silicone release coating, usually on one side. It is the classic, economical paper liner: stiff, easy to handle and easy to mark or print on the reverse.
With no PE layer, it is typically more economical than PE-coated paper and tolerates process heat better. As a pure paper it does respond to humidity, so it suits applications where cost and handling matter more than flatness in long, humid storage. Colour coding helps operators and customers tell products and sides apart on the line.
Construction
- Silicone release coating
- Clay coat or calendered face
- Kraft paper
When to choose it
- You want a cost-effective paper liner for general-purpose tapes and labels
- The process involves heat that would soften a PE-coated liner
- Colour coding helps identify products, grades or liner sides
- Parts are converted and used without long storage in high humidity
- You need a stiff, strong paper that dispenses and strips easily
