Industrial Liquid Adhesives: PUR, Epoxy, UV, Silicone & MMA

All guides

When a bond needs to fill a gap, pot around components, or join substrates a tape cannot reach, a liquid adhesive is the answer. The main families differ in how they cure and what they bond best — pick by substrate, gap, cure speed and the strength and temperature the joint must hold.

PUR reactive hot-melt

Moisture-cure polyurethane hot-melts grab fast then cure to a strong, slightly flexible bond with good drop and ageing resistance — widely used to bond smartphone housings, cameras and precision structural parts.

Epoxy — one- and two-component

Epoxies deliver the highest structural strength and chemical resistance. One-component epoxies cure with heat for consistent, high-performance bonds; two-component epoxies cure at room temperature for field and low-heat assembly.

UV light-curing

UV adhesives stay liquid until exposed to UV light, then cure in seconds — perfect for fast fixturing, positioning and reinforcement. UV/moisture dual-cure grades also harden in shadowed areas the light cannot reach.

Silicone, MS and MMA

Silicone and modified-silane (MS) adhesives stay flexible and seal across a wide temperature range. MMA two-component acrylates bond fast to metals and many plastics with high strength and good gap-fill, tolerating less-prepared surfaces.

Choosing in practice

  • Match the adhesive to BOTH substrates and the gap.
  • Pick the cure (heat, moisture, UV, room-temp) that fits your process.
  • Confirm strength, flexibility and service temperature targets.
  • Check open time / fixture time against your takt time.
